ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Locally-owned Los Alamos National Bank (LANB) prides itself in its commitment to both its customers and employees, and for the fourth year in a row, LANB has been named as one of the “Best Places to Work” by the New Mexico Business Weekly (NMBW).
This year, LANB was ranked as the number three “Best Place to Work” in the Large Business category. LANB was again among the list of top 25 businesses this year and has been every year since the awards beginning in 2006, which is based on overall score, regardless of company size and category. “This recognition is a direct by-product of having great people who deliver excellent customer experiences every day,” said Steve Wells, President of LANB.
In 2006 the first “Best Places to Work” awards were presented, which highlight the top employers around the state. Nominees were judged on a point system based on responses from employee questionnaires. There were 10 winners named in each category – Small, Medium and Large Business—and the top 25 businesses overall were also cited. According to the NMBW, recipients of these awards are employers who “are changing the definition of ‘workplace’. From bountiful benefits to birthdays off, they know how to attract top-notch talent and keep them happy.”
“At LANB, we celebrate our successes, encourage employee empowerment and foster careers for our employees,” said Cathe McClard, Vice President of Human Resources at LANB. “We are honored to receive this recognition.”
LANB has five offices in Los Alamos, White Rock and Santa Fe with nearly 330 employees at those locations. LANB’s goal is to provide the best financial products available, combined with superior customer service and to foster a better quality of life in the communities it serves.
