LANB Wins School Bond Bid

Los Alamos National Bank (LANB) continues to demonstrate its commitment to the communities it serves in numerous ways.  Today, (December 10, 2013) LANB was the low bid for $4.9 million in Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) Bonds.  The Bonds are provided to the lowest bidder as this provides the lowest cost to the LAPS to funding their capital and special projects.  Steve Wells, President of LANB said, “LANB’s success is directly related to the success of the communities we serve.  We not only believe this is a great investment but also an investment in the future of education in our State and another way LANB makes a difference.”


Los Alamos Public School District General Obligation Bonds Series 2014, Rated AA1 (enhanced), dated January 14, 2014.  Proceeds will be used to erect, remodel, make additions to and furnish school buildings to improve Los Alamos Public Schools.  Bond issue size $4,900,000 maturing in 2015 through 2026 with coupon rates ranging from 2.25%-3.00%.
