Parents can help students learn how to manage finances
Parents and students are able to maintain separate accounts but can still easily transfer funds from one account to another through Online Banking without delays or costly wire transfers. With the Student Account, children have the opportunity to establish their own credit by applying for a jointly owned LANB MasterCard* or VISA* with a parent. There is no annual fee for the card and the interest rate is very competitive (see an LANB Rate Schedule).
Parents can get extra financial help when needed. Having students in school can put a strain on the family budget. LANB is here to help with ABC* or Free Savings Overdraft Protection and the VISA* Gold Card. Please ask for additional information about rates on ABC Over Draft Protection and credit cards.
