Ellie Roberts
Trust Officer
Ellie joined LANB in 2007 after a 25 year career as an attorney in private practice in Connecticut. She had visited New Mexico many times, and liked it so much that she decided to make it her home. During her legal career she served as a trustee, executrix, conservator, guardian of estate, and court appointed guardian ad litem and attorney for minors, incapable and mentally challenged individuals. She also served for many years as a fact finder/arbitrator for the Connecticut Superior Court. Ellie received a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College, in Lancaster, PA. and her J.D. from St. John's University School of Law, in New York, NY.She is pleased to be a part of LANB, and greatly admires its commitment to the community.
Dara L. McKinney
Trust Officer
Dara will be focusing on trust and probate administration, estate settlements and agency services. Prior to joining LANB in January 2009 as In-House Counsel in the Legal Department, McKinney was in private practice for 13 years with a focus on estate planning, probate and trust work. She spent her first years with Moore & Golden, P.A., and then practiced with P. Reid Griffith, P.A. (later became Griffith & McKinney, P.A.) and finally with Scheuer, Yost & Patterson, P.C. “Having been a customer long before becoming an employee, I have always been impressed with LANB being a pioneer in the products it offers to customers well before the big banks began to widely advertise the same services," McKinney said. "I am also proud of how LANB supports our communities.” McKinney is a member of Mountain Canine Corps, a volunteer search and rescue team based in Los Alamos, is a member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Espanola Valley & Los Alamos, Inc., and is a former Board Member of the United Way of Northern New Mexico and Los Alamos Family Council. When she isn’t busy working or participating in community work, McKinney enjoys running, the outdoors and traveling.
